Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are the heart of the Izaak Walton League of America.

The Bush Lake Chapter is composed entirely of volunteers.

We are always looking for conservation-minded volunteers to help out in any way possible.

If you are interested in volunteering your valued time and skills, please let us know - email bushlakeikes@gmail.com or contact Paul (the caretaker) at pwerdmann@yahoo.com.

Are you good at organizing events, carpentry, landscaping, accounting, or just want to learn something new?

Some of the Volunteer Opportunities for Chapter Members:

- Maintenance (weeding) in the shoreland plantings

- Hand-pulling invasive buckthorn seedlings

- Repairing picnic tables

- Upgrading the fire pit gathering area

- Water-Sampling in Bush Lake (simple training available)

- Individual Projects on the Chapter Grounds

- Helping with Conservation Programs at chapter

- Helping with Staffing a Chapter Info Booth at Community Events
