Join us for our Plant Posse work days! Help us restore our Chapter property and create wildlife habitat! The caretaker has taken on too many projects, and he needs some help! Come for an hour or stay for the day! Here's the work to be done:
- Finish prepping the South Savanna Restoration Project (seeding and planting June 29-30).
- Prep and plant creeping bellflower areas
- Manage leafy spurge and other invasive plants
Join us on any of the following Saturdays!
- Saturday, June 8 10am-Noon
- Saturday, June 15 10am-Noon
- Saturday, June 22 10am-Noon
What: Preparing our south woodland for native seeds and plants. Raking and moving brush. Removing mulch, removing weed barrier and creeping bellflower roots, planting native plants, mulching. Pulling and digging leafy spurge and other weeds.
What to bring: Rakes, pitchforks, shovels, wheelbarrows/bins, gloves, sturdy shoes, bug spray, sunblock, water to drink, snacks. If anyone has a pick-up truck that doesn't mind getting dirty, please bring it!

The Plant Posse works to restore our 4.2 acre property by managing weeds, planting and seeding native plants, collecting seed, and other miscellaneous tasks. This creates wildlife habitat for many birds, pollinators, and other wildlife and also helps keep Bush Lake clean!
