Kids can build Wind Turbines and learn all about renewable energy! Kids have fun building, testing and refining their model wind turbines in a wind tunnel to see, hands-on, how clean energy works. Then we'll hike around the chapter grounds to find the best places to capture the wind. Followed by a short video showing real wind turbines producing the clean electricity we use. Appropriate for ages 5-12. Free. Dress for the weather. Adults work in teams with kids.
