Be a Citizen Scientist with the Bush Lake Chapter! The Christmas Bird Count is a long standing program of the Audubon Society, with over 100 years of citizen involvement! We will look for, identify, and record all bird species found around Bush Lake. Meet at he Bush Lake Chapter Lodge at 8:30 am for a program on bird conservation, coffee and cocoa. Bird count begins around 9:30 am. The bird count is open to everyone regardless of your level of birding experience. Beginners are welcome. Teams will walk around Bush Lake and Tierney's Woods identifying and counting birds. For those not that adventurous, we will also have feeders set up outside the Chapter Lodge where folks can count birds and stay warm. No Dogs Please- Dress For the Weather- Bring Binoculars- Bird Books- Clipboards- Camera with Good zoom- Hand/Toe Warmers- Photographers welcome! If you aren't able to count birds, please consider bringing food or drinks for participants! Contact the caretaker with any questions.
