at Bloomington Civic Plaza (same time/place as the Bloomington Farmer's Market)
Don't miss out on Bloomington's first ever Sustainability Fair! September 28th, 8am-1pm, at teh Bloomington Civic Plaza (City Hall).
Come and check out the Sustainability Fair and then the Bloomington Farmer's Market, in one stop.
Everyone is up for a good time with hands-on learning, amusing games, instructive demonstrations, and informative conversations surrounding sustainability.
Over 20 resource organizations specializing in energy, environmental health, water, transportation, waste reduction, and gardening will be attending.
You'll have a chance to:
- learn how to make your rain garden dreams a reality through local grants and guidance from watershed experts.
- get your home prepped for winter by singing up for a discounted Home Energy Squad Enhanced Visit,
- concoct your own eco-friendly all-purpose cleaner,
- register to win sustainable prizes, such as a rain barrel, LED light bulbs, power-strips, etc.
- and much more!
Enjoy biking? Got kids? Love beautiful fall weather? Stop by St. Luke's Church parking lot (W. Old Shakopee & W 100st Street) at 8:00 am for either a 10-mile community bike ridge or kid's bike safety rodeo led by a League of American Bicyclists certified instructor followed by a two-mile family ride. Post-ride: enjoy snacks and a prize raffle.
