SOLAR BOAT COMPETITION
MAY 17, 2014
RILEY LAKE, EDEN PRAIRIE, MN
The Minnesota Renewable Energy Society (MRES) will host the 22nd Annual Solar Boat Regatta (competition) this spring. The Regatta provides an opportunity for middle and high school students (as well as individual boat builders) to build a boat that runs on solar power. They compete in a number of races, culminating with a one-hour endurance race.
MRES is seeking volunteers who would like a great day outdoors to help us set up and run the competition. We welcome you to bring family and friends to cheer on their favorite boat. If you are interested in volunteering at the solar boat race, need directions, or more information, please call MRES at 612-308-4757 on or before May 2nd. The Regatta is a free, public event.
